Relationship Awareness™ Theory is a psychological model which helps people understand themselves and others better, but most importantly provides insights which can be immediately acted upon in a practical way.

Relationship Awareness Training® helps people achieve the goals they want to achieve in all life settings where relationships are involved.

The S.D.I.® is the questionnaire which Catalyst trainers use to help their delegates discover where their relationship building strengths lie: it is an integral part of the Relationship Awareness™ Basic Course.

What is the S.D.I? (The Strength Deployment Inventory.®)

It is a paper and pen or electronic scored questionnaire which helps people identify their strengths in relating to others in two life situations - when things are going well and when they experience conflict.

The S.D.I. is scored by the delegates in the course room and immediately becomes a dynamic self development tool, the insights of which can be applied immediately in the training setting and subsequently in all life situations.

Is it a Psychometric Test?

No - a test collects data and then compares that data with a standard or norm or some criteria of acceptable performance.

The S.D.I.® identifies for the completer his/her preferred style of relating to others and the strengths that are implicit in the completers style.

It is impossible for the S.D.I. to infer weaknesses.

The S.D.I.® is a positive training tool designed to help people reach their personal potential when relating to others and situations.

While clients will discover not only strengths but also personal weaknesses the focus during this exercise is very much focused on the positives. Clients will be encouraged to overcome their weaknesses by using their strengths more effectively.

How Does It Work?

The S.D.I.® identifies for them the personal strengths they bring to relationships under two kinds of life situations - when things are going well for them and when they experience conflict and opposition.By identifying personal strengths they are able to use these more effectively to overcome difficult situations and conflicts they may experience and in turn promote better team work.
